Last night, for some reason, I tried to figure out how many months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and second there are in 105 years ...
In 105 years there are: 1260 months ... 5460 weeks ... 38 351 days ... 920 430 hours ...55 225 800 minutes and a mere: 331 548 000 seconds ... just in case you were wondering ...
I can't help but think that each of those numbers represent a memory ... 331 MILLION memories of what the Church Building on Main St meant to the community, our extended faith family and the community we call home ... 331 MILLION memories of what the building meant to people of all ages ...
I really feel that 331 million is just a start ... there will hopefully be another 331 MILLION memories created in what rises on the vacant lot on Main St ... today the lot sits like a vast white canvas waiting for a work of art to be created ... today the canvas awaits, and all over town, and even beyond our town, people are sharpening their pencils and beginning to sketch out their hopes and visions of what will be ...
A great work of art will be created ... but the most beautiful part of that work of art will be the artists who begin to create the next 331 MILLION memories that will become the legacy we of this generation leave to the generations that will take from us the keys to a grand building ...
331 Million - it's alot, but it is only a start ...
